Shakir is an Investment Analyst in the Venture Capital group at Amaana Capital. Prior to his time at AmaanaCap, Shakir worked as a Data Analyst at Kalpay Financials, a local BNPL platform, where he helped with the initial product launch for the business. Shakir also formerly worked at Jiye Technologies as an Entrepreneur in Residence to help the CFO prepare financial outlooks and strategize growth for the business.
Shakir graduated with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance from LUMS along with the Harvard Business School Crossroads Emerging Leaders Program, and has cleared the CFA Level 2 exam with distinction. Shakir worked as a Research Assistant at the LUMS biology dept. on the World Bank funded project to create a disease progression model in acute Covid-19 patients. Shakir also established a SAT tutoring center in Rahim Yar Khan to help high school students navigate admission processes for local and intl. universities.
